Delacey，来自奥兰治县，七岁时就开始写歌和弹钢琴，深受父亲传下来的大量黑胶唱片的影响。凭借《纽约》(New York City)，德拉西开始写歌，后来她把自己抒情、旋律优美的技巧运用到黛米·洛瓦托(Demi Lovato)等艺术家的歌曲，以及哈尔西的热门单曲《没有我》(Without Me)中。当她的才华吸引了洛杉矶•里德(L.A. Reid)的注意时，德拉西在2018年末与HITCO签订了一份协议，并很快开始了她的处女秀。
